The App generation examines the challenges that new generations face while discovering who they are in the digital world. It reviews how today's youth is developing identity, intimacy, and imagination while being influenced by the current technological trends. This book is the product of extensive research conducted by Howard Gardner and Katie Davis. They concluded that there are three main aspects where new technologies are having an impact. The first one is identity, as people get immersed in the digital world, they create an "online persona" that is often a glamorized version of who they really are. This aspect reminded me of the informational diet and the concept of reality dysmorphia.
